Yes, there’s a lot of bad news in the world. And you’ve likely seen volatility in your investments.  War, economic volatility, the pandemic … it’s a lot. No question.

Have you noticed how some people handle market swings, and uncertainty, better than others?

What I’ve seen over and over is when decisions and planning happen through the lens of worry and fear not only does it feel awful but can cause faulty thinking and regrettable decisions.

Worrying about money and business is like driving in the fog – you can do it but it’s harder, more dangerous, and scarier.

What is more helpful is to put your attention on your sphere of control.

The question to ask is: What can I control?

We can’t control world events, the actions of others, the markets, etc.

We can influence our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.

You can’t control the weather, but you can grab an umbrella and take shelter when needed.

A mindfulness practice is a wonderful way to help clear the fog and identify your sphere of control. Back this up with professional advice, a great coach, supportive friends, family, and colleagues and you’re on your way to creating more prosperity on purpose.
