It’s so simple.
Saying “thank you” and sharing your gratitude can not only make a difference for you but will knock the socks off the person who gets your acknowledgment.
When I was a kid I went to Camp Birch Knoll in northern Wisconsin for 7 weeks each summer. I absolutely loved camp. One of my first memories from camp was the Director, Ed, telling me that CBK girls always say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Not that my parents hadn’t taught me to be polite, but some how Ed’s words always stuck with me.
Steven and I taught our kids Benjy and Amy to always say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ (which gratefully they still do into young adulthood).
Why? Well, there’s a bigger impact than just politeness.
Gratitude is powerful.
Many studies have shown how a gratitude practice can boost happiness and even your income.
Thank you for being here… I am grateful for you!
