A mind-blowing percentage of people in the US and Europe associate negative emotions with money – Germany (84%), Spain (82%) and Italy (78%). Almost half of all people are worried about their money and only 27% feel in control according to a global study done by Big Banking Chat. More people are saving “for a rainy day” than for retirement.
This negative focus keeps people from planning and focusing on what they truly desire. The fear impacts good decision making. And…it feels like crap.
This is what drives me to do the work I do. It doesn’t have to be this way.
The conscious planning and deliberate use of money can be a great source of joy, peace, and fulfillment.
If you can imagine with me that you are in a relationship with your money (which by the way you are…) and think of it like a friendship, are you being a good friend? If you always associate bad feeling with this friend, if you ignore her, and just want her there if there are problems you need her help with, what kind of friendship would that be? What if instead, you appreciate your friendship, pay attention to your friend, look for ways to have fun and plan for the future together, wouldn’t that be much better?
Here’s to making 2022 a great year for transforming your thoughts, beliefs, actions, and relationship with money!
Every good wish,
